INDSPRA Chapter Awarded 2025 NSPRA Mark of Distinction
(September 11, 2025) - The Indiana School Public Relations Association (INDSPRA) was awarded a 2025 Mark of Distinction by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) at the organization’s national conference in Washington D.C. The annual Mark of Distinction program recognizes exemplary chapters for their efforts to support chapter members and the national association's mission of building support and trust for education through responsible public relations that leads to success for all students.
INDSPRA leadership worked to meet their members where they are, providing them with opportunities for professional development that would work with various schedules. Monthly ‘office hours’ that are themed and curated but open to collaboration and discussion, NSPRA-partnered webinars, and in-person meetings like the one-day Fall Bootcamp and multi-day annual conference, the INDSPRA members could partake in things that work for them. Additionally, support is always available to members through their regional directors, the private Facebook group, and on-call crisis support for both members and non-member districts.
INDSPRA accepted the Chapter’s Mark of Distinction Award during the Annual Meeting and Celebration of Achievement at the NSPRA 20251 National Seminar on Sunday, July 20, 2025 in Washington D.C. Accepting the award for INDSPRA was President Melissa Deavers-Lowie (Portage), Past President Brooke Allen (Crown Point), President-Elect Krista Stockman (Fort Wayne), Awards Committee Chair Gillian Blessinger (Greater Jasper), and Chapter Administrator Krista Kindler-Baber.
